In the context of a thrift/garage sale find, $2-50, it seems everyone who's scored these and refoamed them say they're GREAT, GREAT, GREAT. Is that simply because they're great for a $50-80 investment (DIY refoaming)?
How about if you see a pair that's been refoamed and the stereo store is asking $250. Would they still be worth it, or are there much better alternatives at that price?
Yes, I know, a very emotional, subjective question. Not really concerned with what is better at that price, but wanting to get opinions from those who have owned or extensively heard the Genesis IIs, would you pay that much?
